Writing Across the STEM Curriculum - March 8, 2014 at UNO
We had such a great workshop last year, that we knew we needed to raise the bar a little for 2014. We expanded our math and writing workshop to a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and writing workshop. Again this year Dr. Ostler, Professor of STEM Education at UNO's College of Education, stretched our minds and presented a new outlook on how writing weaves throughout STEM. Teachers attended breakout sessions focusing on science notebooks, 21st century digital writing, and interactive math notes.
